    After the openning of jehangir, Famous playback singer Mohmmad Rafi performed a live stage show in this cinema hall.(1957) At that time Guru Datta's movie PYAASA was not even ready for release.During the show, with other popular songs Rafi saab sang Pyaasa's songs as a surprise item. Jalado jalado ye dunia of Pyaasa was very hit in the show. Lighting effects and sound facillities was successfully provided by Jai hind Electric & Radio service of Navsari.

    Jehangir Talkies was built by Nausirwan Baria of Navsari in 1956. This cinema was opened with 2 names Jehangir Talkies and Bharat Cinema. The openning of the theater was made by movie called Ganesh Mahima. After the openning the theater was succesfully mannaged for many years by two Baria brothers Rusi and Naval. In sixties Mohmad Rafi performed a live show on the stage of Jehangir
